The Alexandre Mouton House, a beautiful antebellum home. The original structure was built in the early 1800's as the Sunday House of the city of Vermilionville's founder, Jean Mouton. The home later belonged to Jean's son, Alexandre, who was the first Democratic governor of Louisiana. The home is now a museum with many antiques, paintings and a fine collection of Mardi Gras costumes.

A chance to experience first hand the meaning of "Laissez les bons temps rouler". At Randol's Restaurant & Cajun Dancehall, you'll be able to enjoy the local Cajun flavor, both in the good food and the two-stepping, toe tapping music!

The Atchafalaya Experience? Calling all photographers, birders & nature lovers....are you ready to take a boat trip into the Louisiana swamps!?! Featured on TV, in newspapers and travel guides.

A small 19th-century Cajun bayou community. Step back in time at the Acadian Village. Take a tour of authentic Acadian homes, donated by the families whose ancestors once occupied them. Each home was moved piece by piece and carefully restored to recreate a typical 1800 Cajun village.
